Allyson Garner Spencer

Associate Director of Communications

Allyson is the Associate Director of Communications at 1,000 Days where she leads the organization’s digital efforts and community initiatives. With a background in strategic communications, Allyson works to curate both written and visual content to engage diverse audiences.

Before joining 1,000 Days, Allyson worked in communications for the publishing industry focusing on projects in social media, email marketing, content management and graphic design. She also spent time at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and a political consulting firm.

Allyson has a Master’s Degree in Media and Public Affairs from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Lake Forest College. She is passionate about mission driven organizations that connect people across the world.
