Kristen Callaway Hoffman

Advocacy and Outreach Manager

Kristen serves as the Advocacy and Outreach Manager at 1,000 Days. In this role, she works to advance the organization’s global nutrition priorities by engaging and educating U.S. lawmakers, staff and other champions on the need for increased funding during the critical 1,000 day window.

Previously, Kristen served as Strategic Director for U.S. Representative Tom Reed of New York, where she developed and coordinated the Member’s legislative, communications and district outreach activities, with a special emphasis on anti-poverty efforts before the House Ways & Means Committee. Prior to this role, Kristen worked as Government Relations Manager at Friends of the Global Fight, advocating for maximized U.S. contributions to the Global Fund. She began her career on Capitol Hill, serving for four years as a Legislative Assistant to U.S. Representative Steve Southerland of Florida where she managed all responsibilities related to the Member’s role as Chairman of the RSC Anti-Poverty Initiative.

Kristen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Florida State University.
