Karen is the Administrative and Development Assistant at 1,000 Days. In this role she is responsible for providing administrative and operational support for the organization’s executive director and staff.
Prior to joining 1,000 Days, Karen was a fellow for the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute in Washington D.C. During this fellowship, she gained experience by assisting congressional staff members at the House of Representatives and by working with women-focused programs at the Ford Motor Company Fund.
Karen holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a certificate in European and Eurasian Studies from Florida International University. She is passionate about advocating for women’s rights and helping women and children around the world.
