Danielle Porfido is a Manager of Global Policy and Advocacy at 1,000 Days. In this role, Danielle supports the organization’s global nutrition advocacy efforts to advance U.S. policy and increase funding for nutrition during the critical 1,000 Day window.
Prior to joining 1,000 Days, Danielle worked as a Press Assistant for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee where she supported the Press Secretary by drafting press releases and managing their web site. Danielle also interned with the United Nations Foundation’s Every Woman, Every Child (EWEC) team in 2011.
Danielle holds a degree in Political Science and Economics from Loyola University Maryland. At Loyola, she worked to raise awareness around domestic issues of hunger and food insecurity as student staff at the school’s Center for Community Service and Justice.
